Bio

Paolo Lunghi is a Tenured Assistant Professor (RTT) who carries out research in the fields of Autonomous Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) systems for spacecraft, Vision-Based Navigation, Hazard Detection and Avoidance (HDA) systems, Spacecraft Autonomy, AI applications for space systems, and Trajectory Optimization. He is especially interested in vision-based navigation and other methods to assist and extend spacecraft capabilities by means of Artificial Intelligence, seeking an end-to-end autonomous GNC chain.
