Bio
Giacomo Battaglia is a PhD Student in Polimi, in the DART Group. Giacomo's OSIP PhD project is entitled: "Autonomous AI-aided relative navigation for partially known uncooperative targets: tackling uncertainties in close-proximity operations". His main research interests are in spacecraft navigation, guidance, computer vision, onboard software. Before joining the DART Lab, he was a GNC Engineer at Thales Alenia Space. He also did an internship in ONERA on CubeSat integration (hardware and software) and he was team manager for the development of an Impact Sensor, in the context of a CubeSat mission at UniPD, within the ESA Academy's "FlyYourSatellite!" program.
