Elena Pilo is a PhD student at DART Lab. She started her academic path in Florence with a BSc in mechanical engineering. Afterwards she gained a MSc degree in space engineering at Politecnico di Milano with a thesis on spacecraft navigation for a lunar landing, exploiting lunar constellation measurements and a vision-based algorithm. Her current research topics focus on autonomous navigation for close-proximity operations around small bodies.
