Davide Perico

PhD Student

Bio

Davide Perico was born in Bergamo in 1998. In February 2023, he joined the DART Lab as an Aerospace Engineering PhD student of the XXXVIII cycle. He holds a Master of Science in Space Engineering obtained at Politecnico di Milano in December 2022, with a thesis on Processor-In-the-Loop implementation of an image processing pipeline for autonomous deep-space navigation. Since April 2020, he has also been part of the AOCS Team of the student-made 6S CubeSat inside the PoliSpace student association, participating in its design from phase 0/A to B. His research focuses on algorithms and software development targeting Hardware-In-the-Loop testing of autonomous GNC in the framework of the ERC-funded EXTREMA project. His research interests are software design for fully-autonomous deep-space probes, ADCS algorithms integration with autonomous GNC, Reconfigurable Computing, and Processor-In-the-Loop.
