Bio

Andrea Pizzetti holds a MSc in Space Engineering at Politecnico di Milano. In 2012 he moved to Madrid and he worked two years in Deimos Space, contributing to the GNC/AOCS design and V&V activities for Comet Interceptor, ClearSpace-1 and other small-sat/cubesat LEO missions. He is a PhD student at the DART Lab since 2023. His research deals with the design of autonomous vision-based navigation systems and their Hardware-In-the-Loop validation. He is the main developer of ABRAM, a physically-based render engine tailored for celestial bodies that is used in the lab for the generation of radiometrically-consistent images and to interface with the optical facilities.
